MEET YOUR ARTIST
Hi, I’m Erica Swafford — a wife, mom of five, proud Army mom, and a Southern girl at heart, originally from Georgia. Bakersfield has been home for over a decade now, and it’s where my heart truly found its calling through paramedical tattooing and body piercing.
My journey into this field is deeply personal. I lost two of my biggest supporters — my Nonna and my Aunt Laura — just 19 days apart, both to cancer. Almost two years later, I was diagnosed with a chronic form of leukemia. While treatable, it’s incurable, and that reality shifted my entire perspective.
Discovering paramedical tattooing became a powerful outlet for my grief and healing — and more than that, a way to give back. Whether I’m working with cancer survivors, moms with stretch marks, individuals with self-harm scars, or someone healing from surgery, every service is rooted in compassion and purpose. It’s my way of honoring the women I loved so deeply while helping others feel whole and confident in their skin.
I recently expanded my offerings to include body piercing, which I absolutely love. It’s fun, creative, and empowering — a perfect complement to the healing work I do. I also enjoy supporting community causes and local charities whenever I can.
Alongside Revive, my family and I own a second business here in Bakersfield, and we’re proud to be a part of this community. I’m so excited to continue bringing meaningful, confidence-boosting services to the people of Bakersfield and beyond.
